Lap of honour for Snowdog farewell

As the amazing Ashford Snowdogs project comes to an end, a trio of closing ceremonies have been organised to give fans a chance to say their final goodbyes.

The magical arts trail that has stolen the hearts of many across the Ashford community and further afield, with tens of thousands of people visiting the sculpture trail, free workshops and guided tours over the past 10 weeks, will leave the streets from 2pm on Sunday 18^th November.

Ashford Town Centre Family Fun Day, 17 November.

Starting the celebrations will be a Snowman and the Snowdog themed Festive Family Fun Day on Saturday 17^th November. With special guest appearances from The Snowman, The Snowdog, and Father Christmas, with live music on the bandstand, secret stone painting in the County Square Snowdog Kennel, and the turn-on of the festive lights.  This free event is sure to create an upbeat and festive atmosphere in the town, in the build up to Christmas.

Snowdog Farewell Weekend, Julie Rose Stadium, 1-2 December.

Snowdogs Gala Auction, Ashford International Hotel, 3 December.

In a final farewell, Pilgrims Hospices are inviting auction lovers to bid on the beautifully designed Snowdogs on Monday 3rd December, as the paw-some pooches go under the hammer at the Ashford International Hotel. Hosted by celebrity TV auctioneer and host, Michael Hogben and Alison Chapman, the glamorous evening will help raise vital funds for the end of life support Pilgrims Hospices offers the local community.
