Herne Bay High School raising money with rowing challenge

Herne Bay High school is attempting a 24 hour rowing challenge to raise money for sports relief & have set up a JustGiving page for donations.

Herne Bay High SchoolHerne Bay High School staff and students are undertaking a 24 hour non stop rowing challenge. Starting on Thursday 22nd March at 1pm through until 1pm on Friday 23rd they will be working 3 rowing machines, non stop, to raise money for Sport Relief.

Participants will complete 15 minute slots and rotate around, with staff and students from all over the school volunteering to participate during the day. The PE department and friends, will then take over to keep the machines working throughout the night.

The aim of the challenge is to raise money for Sport Relief but also to make students more aware about the importance of participating in regular physical activity and tackling the rising obesity levels.

They have set themselves an ambitious target of £1000 but are confident they can achieve this…it’s less than £1 per student!
