Enjoy a cool life at Kent Life as the Ice Cream Festival returns Monday 28 August

Kent Life

Cool off at Kent Life Heritage Farm Park this bank holiday Monday (August 28) as the hugely popular Ice Cream Festival returns. There will be plenty of tasty treats to tuck into and sample, with ice cream vendors, chocolatiers and sweet stalls galore.

Among them will be Kent’s Simply Ice Cream, an indulgent ice cream which is handmade in small batches from local ingredients, and Kelly’s of Cornwall, well known for their clotted cream range.

Sit down with your favourite flavour to enjoy the music of The Boogie Woogie Gals – a 1940s / 50s style close-harmony vocal group – and perhaps even try out a bit of shoo-whopping and bee-bopping to their retro tunes. In addition to the Festival, you can enjoy all of Kent Life’s favourite activities.

Visit Cuddle Corner, take a traditional ride, get creative in the Paint-a-Pot studio and have a go at animal feeding. Little ones can burn off energy in the outdoor and indoor play areas, while grown-ups can check out the Vintage Village. The attraction is also a real working farm, set in 28 acres of beautiful countryside, so there are plenty of animals to see, including pigs, sheep, ducks, goats, alpacas, horses and ponies.

Admission: adults £9.95; children (three to 15) £7.95; concessions £8.95; family day ticket (two adults and two children) £29.95. Members and under-threes go free. Book online in advance for a 15% discount. A small additional price applies to some activities.

Opening times: 10am to 6pm, last admission 5pm.

Kent Life is in Lock Lane, Sandling, near Maidstone, just off junction 6 of the M20 or only an hour by train from London. For further information call 01622 763936 or visit www.kentlife.org.uk. You can also follow Kent Life on Twitter @Kent_Life
