Dover Pride’s fourth year did not disappoint!

Dover Pride’s fourth year a success!

The events were held at the Roman Lawn Main Stage and Pride Café, and over 2000 people attended, making it the biggest Dover Pride yet. The local community threw themselves into helping Dover Pride fill the town with love and rainbows, and it was a joyful, colourful, exuberant event that celebrated queer joy and queer love in all its forms. There were plenty of exciting dance and music acts that took place, including London talent Eden Hunter who wowed the crowds with her cover of Lady Gaga’s Edge of Glory.

Emma Sikora, Art Director and co-chair of Dover Pride, said, “It was special to see some really young queer people taking part” and commented that many young people had said they’d never experienced Pride like this in such a small town.

Lisa Oulton, Founder and Director of Future Foundry, partners and sponsors of Dover Pride, added, “It was incredible to see how inter-generational it was. People of all ages turned up, and it was so diverse it was amazing!”

Even the mayor got in on the fun, declaring “We are one community” and that as a town “they are honoured to support Pride and will continue to support Pride every year.”
