Counting down to Aylesham’s SummerFest

There are just days to Aylesham’s SummerFest this Saturday (20 July) in Market Place.

Now established as one of the village’s biggest days of the year, the fun begins just before 1pm when there will be an official welcome to visitors ahead of an afternoon, and evening, of entertainment for the whole community.

Organised by the Aylesham4Aylesham group with support from the parish council, Dover District Council, KCC and the Aylesham Workshop Trust, there is going will be live music from several bands, along with stalls, sideshows, refreshments and more, all showcasing the village’s vibrant spirit.

The musical line up includes a performance by Aylesham Jive Club, Tom Birch, Ben Stroud, Electric Tortoise and then all wrapped up by 9pm with Coco. Funds will be raised this year to support the family of eight year old Charlie Golden who was recently seriously injured after being involved in a car accident.

The group would like to extend its thanks to all the local traders and organisations who have given prizes towards the raffle.
