Council visits leading manufacturing business

P&P Technology, who specialise in manufacturing EMI shielding and RFI shielding materials, were the latest business to be part of Braintree District Council’s business tour.

The business has been trading for over 30 years across two sites in Sible Hedingham and has over 15 employees.

Officers learned about the successes and challenges of the business as well as the processes to achieve optimum electromagnetic and radio frequency interference minimisation, crucial for military operations and the automobile sector.

Cllr Tom Cunningham, Cabinet Member for Economic Development at Braintree District Council, said: “It was fantastic to meet with this business to see how bespoke products can be made through combining manual engineering techniques with more modern practices. We are keen to help support aspiring growth for local business and this visit certainly opened opportunities that we can explore with P&P Technology to help them to achieve their growth goals.”
