What We Do

The Big Wrap support families in the community to have an enjoyable Christmas who may be experiencing difficult times by providing gifts, festive items and food vouchers.

Fundraising

This is very much a community appeal as we fundraise in collaboration with St Mildred’s and other local churches to provide food voucher and ask for donations of gifts for children up to the age of 15 and foodbank donations, including festive treat items.

Our fundraising is over several events held locally as well as the Tesco Bags of Help and Waitrose Community Scheme.  Donations can be made directly to PayPal on our website www.thebigwrap.co.uk. Contact us at [email protected] or via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with any queries.

Big Wrap Day Saturday 7^th December at Highbury Hall, Highbury Ln, Tenterden TN30 6BB

We will collate all gifts and Food and Hygiene Bank donations and welcome any further donations on the day to be brought to Highbury Hall from 11am.

Please note, this year wrapping will begin at 1pm to give us the opportunity to collate items.

Christmas gifts for children aged from baby to 15.

We suggest a spend of up to £10.  Smaller items are also very welcome as we will wrap with other items to ensure everyone receives a gift of approximately the same value.

All items should be new and with labels. Please kindly avoid PC games, DVD’s, CD’s, weapon related toys and used or damaged items thank you.

 

Food & Hygiene Bank items to include day to day food essentials such as:

• Savoury and sweet tinned/jarred goods
• Flour, sugar, teabags and coffee
• Long life milk and squash/juice
• Dry pasta and rice
• Nappies, wet wipes and other baby essentials
• Toiletries (also supporting #itsinthebag)
• Pet food

Treat items (use by date at least March 2020)

• Mince pies
• Christmas puddings
• Biscuits
• Chocolates/confectionary

 

Miscellaneous:

• Wrapping paper
• Cellotape

 

 

 

The Highbury Hall Café will be open if you wish to stop for refreshments.
