Your views on building better health and care in east Kent

Get talking about diabetes

NHS Thanet has recently held a public meeting about building better health care in East Kent, and now they want your views.

Health and care partners held a public meeting in March to discuss plans to provide more joined-up care, closer to home for care in East Kent.

More than 50 members of the public, including representatives of campaign groups, came together at the cricket ground in Canterbury to share their views on health and care services in the area.

A summary of the Design by Dialogue event has now been published – and they are still wanting to hear your views and wishes. Please contact them at: [email protected]

What happens next?

“The meeting provided some excellent ideas and shared
consensus on how to build strong local health and
care services; from the bedrock of strong GP practices
integrating and working with community hospitals and
hubs to the need for excellent emergency and specialist
care that can be accessed by all at critical times.
We are evaluating and testing, as new ways of working
for example, the hubs in community hospitals, are
developed to join-up all the local health and care services
in a way that focuses on patients not organisations.”
