Join the Canterbury Festival Friends and Director of The Canterbury Auction Galleries, David Parker, for the annual Hugo Maciejewski Memorial Lecture.

This year David will continue his ever-popular Kent themed talks by continuing to move forward in time with the history of aviation in Kent, describing its important part in the evolution of air transport before and after the two world wars. The talk will focus on Sheppey, Rochester and Lydd and the important part they have played in shaping aviation as we know it.

Guaranteed to be both informative and amusing, this talk is a must for history buffs, aviation fans and newcomers to Canterbury Auction Gallery events.

After a successful business career, militaria specialist and historian, David founded and ran The Rochester Armoury for 10 years before joining the Canterbury Auction Galleries in 2011 as a consultant. David was promoted to General Manager in 2015 and Director in 2017.
