Apple and Cider Fayre at Kent Life

Celebrate the annual apple harvest at Kent Life’s Apple and Cider Fayre on 5 and 6 October 2019 with entertainment, live music and the chance to try and buy from around 35 variety of delicious apples on display over the weekend

This family friendly festival is the ideal time to try new and old varieties of apple, some dating back to the 1500’s!

The apples are hand-picked from the historic orchards just days before the festival.  Visitors can watch the traditional process of apple pressing when fresh apples are cut, crushed, pulped and then squeezed in a giant Victorian press to produce the most delicious apple juice.

A visit to the fayre wouldn’t be complete without sampling a cider or two!  The cider tent is the place to go to meet guest cider suppliers and perhaps even try one of the delicious cider cocktails!

There will be apple related demonstrations throughout the weekend and live music from local bands together with Morris dancing and children’s apple craft events.

After choosing which apples to take home don’t forget to pick up a free apple cookbook featuring some delicious old-fashioned favourites.

Kent Life is where history and a great family day out on the farm come together.  Explore the past with a visit to the historic houses and discover the differences between homes past and present, see the farm animals and meet the smaller animals in Cuddle Corner.  Take a fun ride round the farm on a tractor or land train, watch the birds of prey displays or burn off steam in the indoor and outdoor play areas.

Dotty’s Tea Room has a great selection of home-made cakes and other tasty meals and snacks or check out our special wood-fired pizza oven in the Pizza Garden.
