2018: Watch a year of rescues in 80 seconds

Our lifesavers answer the call for help in all weathers and 2018 – a year of extreme weather – was no exception.

From the Beast from the East to one of the hottest summers on record, our lifesavers were there to rescue thousands of people, as well as their four-legged friends.

People like teenager Joe Rowlands who saved his dad’s life after they got into trouble while kayaking. Moelfre lifeboat crew rescued them just in time.

And animals like Bella, a West Highland white terrier, who was rescued by Weston-super-Mare RNLI after getting cut off by the tide.

Rescues like these are only possible with the support of people like you. Thank you for being there, year in and year out. We hope you enjoy watching this snapshot of your support in action.
