A bit about Springfield

Springfield has been a Borough of Chelmsford since 1907. The parish takes in the portion of the town which is north of river Chelmer and west of the A12 bypass. This originally comprised the manors of Springfield Hall, Springfield Barnes (which is now called Chelmer Village), Cuton Hall, and in part New Hall (now known as Beaulieu Park).
