After a successful 2023, Quigley Theatre Arts is back with their 2nd annual Danceathon!
Held on Sunday 21st April 2024 at The Centre in Birchington, this year QTA will be raising money for a very worthy charity, 
Sands. Sands supports anyone affected by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby. They also carry out vital work to improve maternity safety through research, campaigning for change, working with government and reducing inequalities in healthcare to save babies’ lives.
The work they do is tremendously important and they need fundraising to help keep up their efforts.
Last year we raised a staggering £1,152.39 for Bowel Cancer UK and hope to be able to raise as much, if not more this year.
The day will consist of two parts and this year will see the introduction of our Junior Danceathon! The event is open to anyone and everyone whether you want to take part in the dancing or just come along and have a cuppa and a cake!
Sign in for Over 16’s is from 9:15am ready to start dancing at 9:45am. This will be a 2-hour danceathon but please rest assured you don’t need to dance for the full two hours. There will be a big mix of styles to enjoy from Ballroom, Line Dancing and Zumba, to Latin and Jazz to name a few.
There is a suggested donation of £5.00 per dancer but please give what you can.
If you don’t fancy the dancing but would like to support, then please do come along and see us between 10:00am and 1:30pm for a cuppa and a cake. There will also be stalls and games to participate in throughout the day. The day will conclude by 2:00pm.
This year will see the introduction of our Junior Danceathon. This will consist of 45-60 minutes of dancing for children from the ages of 5 years – 15. Think of it as one big disco! Sign in for the juniors will start at 12:00pm midday and the dancing will start at 12:15pm. We will send out sponsor forms when you book.
We will also be holding a raffle on the day and if any local businesses would like to donate a prize please do get in contact.
