A reminder about the Nailbourne Horticultural Society Spring Show on Saturday 6th April in Bridge Village Hall…
The Show will be open to visit from 11:00am until 1:00pm, with prize giving at 12:45pm. Refreshments will be available as well as a plant/bring & buy stall and a raffle, all to help raise funds for the Society.
Staging the show involves considerable work for the Committee as well as the exhibitors and we would be delighted if you would take the time to pop in to enjoy and appreciate the exhibits on display.
There are three open classes for everyone to enter as well as a class, new this year, for pre-school children. National Vegetable Society – Kent District Association
The first open meeting in the National Vegetable Society’s calendar of talks this year is on Wednesday 10th April (7:30pm for 8:00pm start) in Bridge Village Hall. Roy Finch, known as the “Hedgehog Champion” at Monkton Nature Reserve will be giving a presentation entitled “How to Help Hedgehogs via Good Gardening and Other Practices”. The falling numbers of hedgehogs is causing great concern nationally and this talk should be of great interest to us all. Everyone is welcome, there is no charge for entry and refreshments are available as well as a raffle and sales table.
