Ashford ((BOUNCE)) Bouncing into the New Year

It’s that time of year when we all feel a little bouncier, a few too many Quality Streets and a bit too much festive cheer can leave us in a bigger state for the New Year.

However, you’ll be able to bounce that weight off in a joyous way as Rachel informs CommunityAd.

Rachel has been attending ((BOUNCE)) classes for five years and in September 2021 decided she wanted to run the classes. Rachel confesses to CommunityAd she doesn’t “consider it to be a job, it’s something that I love doing and helping others achieve their own fitness goals is so fulfilling. The best thing is seeing new attendees join and within just a few weeks become so much fitter, more motivated and generally happier”. CommunityAd had the joy of asking her a few questions about what it’s all about.

Some readers will associate the word trampoline with children’s birthday parties but you and the ((BOUNCE)) trampolines represent something else, don’t they?

Absolutely, here at ((BOUNCE)) our focus is to become fitter and stronger but we are also here to have fun. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and that is what sets us apart from your typical ‘fitness class’. The ((BOUNCE)) motto is to be Fun, Friendly and Fierce and that’s exactly our aim here at ((BOUNCE)) Ashford. That being said, we do welcome children of all ages, children over the age of 8 can book on to our class and children of any age can bounce along if there are any spare trampolines upon arrival!

Why would you recommend readers consider bouncing as one of their New Year’s resolutions?

((BOUNCE)) is 3x more effective than any floor based workout because of the extra Gravity and G-Force. As an average example 10 minutes in our class can be the equivalent to a 30 minute run… and it is so much more fun! You do not need to commit to a membership or subscription like in a gym, you can do as many classes as you like each week and pay for them as you go. So for anyone wanting to shed some post-Christmas weight I would definitely recommend you give us a try!

As well as the feel-good element from the exercise, it’s the social element of the classes that a lot of participants enjoy, is that right?

Without a doubt the social element is what drew me to ((BOUNCE)) when I first started as an attendee. I can honestly say that ((BOUNCE)) has seriously helped my own mental health improve and I have met so many attendees who would say the same. The social element is a major part of ((BOUNCE)), there is something so exhilarating about exercising and getting fitter together with a group of people who all have similar goals and aims. Being able to laugh and make friends in a supportive, non-judgemental environment is what makes ((BOUNCE)) such a good place to work out.

Who is the target market of these classes would you say? Is it a fairly low impact on the joints?

((BOUNCE)) is for everyone! We welcome attendees of all ages, fitness levels and both men and women. You can increase or decrease the intensity of your ((BOUNCE)) to suit you; we demonstrate easier and harder options throughout the class as we recognise that we are all at different stages of our fitness journeys. Yes ((BOUNCE)) is low impact. The soft surface of the trampoline pad absorbs a massive 87% of shock on the body; this leads to a decrease in the likelihood of injury and exercise pain. ((BOUNCE)) is also proven to stimulate bone growth by 25% and therefore restores bone density and mineral content.
