The Great British Dog Walk
Take part in a fun-filled sponsored walk that transforms the lives of deaf people. It is a great way to safely explore a stunning location with your friends and family (with or without a dog!) and help deaf people to leave loneliness behind.
If you can’t make this walk we also have a virtual walk option – which you can do anywhere you like.

Walk start time: Walk start times available from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. You will be able to choose your timeslot when booking.*
Cost: Adults: £10 online, Children (under 16): free
Distance: 3km family friendly route. It can be quite bumpy, and depending on weather may not be suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. OR 5km longer and challenging route. Not suitable for wheelchairs and buggies.
Minimum Sponsorship: No minimum sponsorship but if you raise £25 or more you’ll receive a Hearing Dog wristband. Raise £50 or more and you’ll receive an exclusive Great British Dog Walk mug or, if you raise £100 or more you’ll receive free puppy sponsorship!
Terrain: Those who take the longer route will be crossing the Kent Ditch and depending on the weather this can be muddy so it is best to wear wellies. Not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
Parking: Parking is avaliable at Bodiam.
More: The venue itself is beyond stunning, and walkers will have the opportunity to walk within the castle’s beautiful surroundings, as well as being on the look out for kingfishers, the resident barn owls and the famous steam train.
Other Facilities: Toilets, Cafe, Gift Shop, Second Hand Bookshop
Because of the number of dogs expected, we do ask that dogs are kept on lead for the duration of the walk.
