Lewes Borough BS Est 1853 are the oldest Lewes town bonfire society.

The Lewes Borough Bonfire Society celebrations every year as part of the events in Lewes have been reported all over the world.

See the mass costumed torch lit procession wind its way to the fire site. The massive bonfire is one of the biggest in Sussex. The fire is lit to welcome the magnificently costumed Processions, along with its bands. See our exceptionally detailed huge tableaux of a topical theme erupt in a pyrotechnic display, before it is consigned to history with a large very loud bang. The evening continues with a massive firework display, possibly the largest, longest and loudest of the evening in Lewes. Our spacious fire site is overlooking the town of Lewes from just below the racecourse, you will usually see fireworks from other locations around the town, the view stretches to Newhaven and over the Weald.

We offer a licensed bar with soft & non-alcoholic drinks.

A 5-star catering trailer provides hot food and drinks, along with the best burgers and hot dogs in town.

This is a family event. Entry to firesite is at ticket holders risk, Challenge 25 policy applies at our bars ID required, secure care parking is available outside the police security cordon at Hambridge farm A275 Offham BN7 3QE
