KM Big Bike Ride 2020 – East Kent

big bike ride

With countless challenge events cancelled or changed to virtual status it’s time to dust off your saddle for the real thing: the KM Big Bike Ride (East Kent) on Sunday 11 October.

Choose between a 50K or 100K challenge both of which set off from Betteshanger Park near Deal. The routes take riders through the east Kent countryside around Dover, Deal, and Sandwich, and in the case of the longer route, along the Thanet coast too.

Complete the big bike ride for fun or to raise money for any good cause or volunteer group of your choice – whether it’s your local PTA, scout group or a major nationwide charity.

Booking price includes mid-ride refreshments, sportive photograph taken on the ride, electronic chip timing, and souvenir medal.

Safety measures in line with government guidance on COVID-19 will include staggered check-in times and social distancing. Numbers are strictly limited and there will be no ‘on-the-day’ bookings, so secure your place without delay.

The ride is organised by children’s charity the KM Charity Team, which will receive a small share of the proceeds to cover event costs and contribute towards its health and wellbeing work with schools.

Check-in waves are between 8am and 10am and cyclists aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Booking price is £30 per person.
