Your Views Sought On Polling District Review for Dover

Dover District Local Plan

Under current legislation, all local authorities are required to review their polling districts, polling places and polling stations every fifth year to ensure that the right facilities are provided for communities – the next compulsory review period has now started, and your views are sought.

This follows the Local Government Boundary Commission for England’s review of the district.  The Council is carrying out a review of its polling districts, polling places and polling stations to ensure that elections can be delivered successfully for the newly created wards and facilities are convenient and accessible for electors.

We are now seeking feedback on any aspect of the allocated polling districts, places and stations that we will use, and invite representation and comments from interested persons. Views are invited from residents across the district, as well as local community groups, and anyone with expertise in issues around access to premises or facilities for persons who have different forms of disability.

Please send comments in writing to the Electoral Services Team marked ‘Polling District Review’ by email to [email protected] or by letter to Electoral Services – Polling District Review, Dover District Council, White Cliffs Business Park, Whitfield, Dover CT16 3PJ.

Comments need to be received no later than 9 November 2018.  All representations received will be published on our website on 14 November 2018.
