SWFest – A new free festival

In search of something to do this coming Bank Holiday? Well look no further, South Woodham Ferrers is set to come alive this August with the launch of SWFest.

Organised by Chelmsford City Council, this new family festival will bring a fun filled day of entertainment to Compass Gardens in South Woodham Ferrers on Sunday 27 August, running from 12noon – 7pm with FREE entry.

A day created for the whole family with live music celebrating the best of local talent including Crème de Chèvre, Marc Halls, Louise Parker, and Leanne Louise amongst the line-up. The music offering doesn’t end there, with an all-day-party DJ tent for the dance lovers and even a separate disco area for the kiddies.

In amongst the music will be plenty of activities to keep all entertained. A sports area set to include trampolines, soft play and many other ‘have a go’ sports activities. There is even an inflatable zone – with castles for the adults too!

Plus face paint and glitter art, the Get In! giant ‘selfie’ deck chair, arts & crafts and so much more to help the whole family get into the festival spirit.

Don’t worry about staying fuelled throughout the day, we’ve got that sorted – with plenty of tasty treats, food and an all-important bar to stay refreshed!
