Serious Collision on Sir Thomas Longley Road – Rochester

Kent Police was called to reports of a disturbance involving nuisance vehicles in Sir Thomas Longley Road in Rochester on the evening of Friday 30 September. Whilst in attendance a car was involved in a collision with a number of pedestrians. Seven people have been injured and are being attended to by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been taken into custody.

Officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries.

An 18-year-old man arrested in connection with a serious collision on Sir Thomas Longley Road on Friday 30 September has been released on police bail until 14 November pending further enquiries.

 

The latest on injuries:

A further two people have been reported injured during the collision. A teenage boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital and a man reported minor injuries.

This brings the total number of people injured to 15.

The four men who were seriously injured and taken to a London hospital all remain in critical but stable conditions.
