News, events and shows in Medway

With the weather slowly warming up and the summer just around the corner, Medway has got plenty to keep you entertained over the coming months.

We need your help!

Eastgate House will be launching Something old, something new this summer – an exhibition which highlights wedding customs throughout the ages from different cultures, dresses, food and traditions.

We want YOU to be involved. We’d love you to send in your wedding photos so we can display them as part of this amazing exhibition.

You can get involved whether you were married in a Medway venue that no longer exists, eloped, were married abroad, had a civil partnership, were married during the war and shared your day with others.

Whatever the story, we’d love to receive your pictures (as well as a brief story behind them, even if it’s just where and when) to share for everyone to see during the exhibition.

Make the most of your bank holidays

Place Campaign: Medway

With not one but two bank holidays in May, it’s easy to drink a bit more than we normally would. Here’s our 5 top tips for how you can celebrate the holidays and still feel refreshed come Tuesday morning.

  • Set a budget, and only take that amount of cash out with you. Resist contactless or if you can, leave your card at home.
  • Start drinking later in the day.
  • Take your time and enjoy your drink, avoid getting into rounds.
  • Sit one out and have a soft drink.
  • Stay hydrated, make sure you have a few glasses of water throughout the night.

If you’re not sure how much you drink why not take our quick test and find out your alcohol score?
