Staffordshire Police is currently appealing for information regarding a missing 16-year-old male, Dung NGUYEN.  Dung went missing from his foster parents in Tamworth on July 14, during the early hours of the morning.

The last confirmed sighting of Dung was at approximately 6.30am on Corporation Street, Tamworth, in the area of the Assembly Rooms and 110 bus stop.

Dung is described as a male of Vietnamese origin, 5ft 2 tall, slim build with dark short hair.  He was last seen wearing a black leather appearance jacket, a grey t-shirt with Thailand embossed on the front in an orange motif, dark blue jeans and black and green trainers.

On going missing, Dung left all of his personal belongings at home and he speaks very poor to no English.

Staffordshire Police would like to speak to anyone what has seen Dung, either the morning he went missing or since.

Dung has had previous links with the Birmingham, in particular the city centre and bullring shopping centre areas.  He also has previous links to Atherstone area of Warwickshire.

Investigative Officer Martin Krol from the force’s Safeguarding Investigation Team, said:

“I appeal to anyone that may have seen, come into contact with, or have knowledge of Dung’s whereabouts to come forward and contact the police.

“We believe that Dung will have spoken to several people in Tamworth, asking for directions and I appeal for those people to also come forward.  He is new to living in the UK and may have spoken to other members of the public since going missing because of this.

“Any person that wished to pass on information can do so by contacting Staffordshire police on 101, quoting reference 130 of July 14.  Alternatively they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
