CommunityAd Exclusive - Yateley United Football Club - United for the Community

What is your overall ethos at the club?

The football club prides itself on providing access and participation in sport to ALL; providing a safe, positive and fun environment. Our focus each year is to create more opportunities to develop and widen our football offering.

The club provides a clear pathway for young persons of under 6 through our extensive and increasing youth section on to adult football and our walking football programme. To be successful in achieving this, the club is made up of several sections and committees. These sections are truly united in “our one club of all” ethos.

A family environment where each sections shares and commits to the values of the club, responsibilities held and provide a level of support to each other that is unrivalled.Community is at the core of everything we do and the decisions we make, we heavily stand by our values and our commitment to be United for the Community.

What are your goals for this upcoming season?

The goals this season are much the same as many season. To continue to support our members participate in the sport they love, in a safe and fun environment.

The club will continue to evolve and develop, and will engage further with the community to welcome them to SDP and look forward to seeing our Community Centre become an ever-present venue for the community as a whole.

Naturally, on the pitch success is always something the club strives for, and we are eager to see how all our teams get on this season, and we are confident of many more special moments to celebrate.

It is clear we have stepped up a level this year across all our sections and it is important we continue this trend. Providing even more opportunities for people to play sport and use our facilities is a common goal the entire club shares.

We have plans for the future to ensure the club continues to evolve and develop further, discussions regarding further development of the ground and facilities, further diversifying our offerings in sport and our role in the community are all on the table.

It is important to mention at this point that we are very fortunate to have incredible sponsors that have been vital in helping the club make all this happen. We have a range of mutually beneficial sponsorship and partnership packages and opportunities to suit all budgets and businesses. Our packages can also be tailored to suit business needs. Partnerships are not just about having a pitch-side board, it is so much more. Our Community Partner packages are designed to help support businesses whilst engaging the local community and increasing positive promotion.

We welcome anyone that is interested in being part of our future to join in and get involved – they can contact us by emailing [email protected].

Interested in being part of our family?

The club has been built entirely by volunteers and has been successful in doing so. Many of our volunteers have been involved at the club for over 10 years, and often fulfil a plethora of roles.

Our volunteers are widely members of the local community and champion the club. Volunteering is much more than helping out – it is being a true part of the YUFC family and the benefits that brings.

The club encourages a family and social environment, where respect, support and thanks is ingrained. There is a clear mutually beneficial relationship between the club and our volunteers. A relationship the club will always value. Often volunteering roles do not demand a great deal of time but make a huge difference to the club and the community.

The club actively seeks and welcomes more volunteers and would love to hear from anyone that is interested, [email protected].
