We have had a very busy summer at the Romney Marsh Community Hub.

CommunityAd Exclusive - Romney Marsh Community Hub UpdatesOur launderette arrived in June, it is outside the Hub and is being well used by the community, the large washing machine holds the equivalent of 3 loads and costs just £11.00 per wash.

We have replaced one of our mini buses as it was getting very old, this ensures that we are able to continue to bring our lovely clients into the Hub.

We have also started taking the clients out once a month for ‘Feel Good Fridays’. So far they have been shopping and had lunch at Tenterden Garden Centre and Jempson’s in Peasmarsh, and most recently they had a trip out on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway from Hythe Station down to Dungeness, where they enjoyed fish and chips in the End of the Line café.

Activities for all in the Hub continue to grow and become more popular, from our 3 high impact fitness classes through to the more sedate seated exercise and Tai Chi. Our creative writing sessions with local author Emma Batton have been so popular she is running a Christmas themed one for us on 29th November.

We are also enjoying hosting a variety of bespoke support; such as our free Digital Support sessions and free Emergency First Aid sessions.

As the weather changes we are ready to run our next fundraising events, we have a Remembrance Lunch on 10th November, our Christmas Fair on 18th November and our Christmas lunch on 15th December.
