Listen To Me – The Old Country Crows of Deal

The title of ‘Listen To Me’ may remind you of an ex-wife or even the ex-president but fear not the exclamation is coming from a far more charming source in the form of one of Deal’s most cherished musical assets, legendary band The Old Country Crows.

For all musicians and performers, the last 20 months have been far from the ideal norm, deprived of live audiences and interaction that didn’t involve an internet connection it’s been a bleak period in the life of any band.

For The Old Country Crows, it was especially gutting as they had just finished recording the brilliant Behind the Rain album and had an album launch booked in for early April 2020, we all know what followed. The album found an audience online naturally but was without the launch the hard work the lads had put in deserved.

However, yet another EP has been churned out by the prolific music makers, released on the original freedom day 21st June the latest EP in the band’s discography is titled as you may have guessed by now, Listen To Me. The band were pleased to announce the release on Freedom Day and stated “we do hope that the sun does shine and life returns to normal”.

The band are back gigging but have sadly announced that Mark G the glasses-wearing utility man has left the group after 11 years due to work commitments, but as the old saying goes the Crows must go on.
