Hawkinge Dog Show

Naomi has lived in Kent all of her life, moving away for university but soon returning to Kentish shores; “I love the community feel we get from all our local towns and the support everyone gives each other”.

Naomi has received much of that ‘support’ she speaks of on her fundraising mission and saw more support and affection for our four-legged friends in August when she put on the Fun Day and Dog Show at the community asset that is Hawkinge Cricket & Social Club.

CommunityAd had a brief chat with the serial fundraiser about what she does for the Dogs Trust as she tells us “I have been fundraising for Dogs Trust for a while now, as I believe their charity has many great projects. In particular, I am a great supporter of their domestic abuse foster scheme. But I think what is most important for me with this event, is getting back to some normality. After such a hard year it is nice to have something positive to look forward to.”

The fun filled day raised a fantastic £371.83 for the Dogs Trust and Naomi took to her Facebook page to say thanks to all her sponsors and supporters: “Thank you to everyone who came and donated and please keep following my page for future events. Thank you to Hawkinge Cricket & Social Club for hosting… we will be back again soon! Thank you to all my lovely stall holders! Your businesses were beautiful, a special thanks to Totally Canine who also had a collection going on the day and finally thank you to my fantastic volunteers, I couldn’t have done it without you.”
