Bloom & Nourish: Whitstable’s patio gardening group

Revival Food & Mood is delighted to shout about the launch of its latest endeavour: the Bloom & Nourish Patio Gardening Group. This exciting initiative aims to bring people together connecting with nature, promoting wellbeing, outdoor activity, and the joy of nurturing the living world.

CommunityAd Exclusive - Bloom & Nourish: Whitstable's patio gardening groupThe new group will be growing a living larder, from flowers to fennel and everything in between and will develop recipes and ingredients such as basil butter and pansy pancakes that can be served in the café, enriching the community with fresh local grown produce for all to enjoy. Revival may only have a small patio but we are determined to prove that no matter your space constraints, from window sills to balconies we can all cultivate vibrant edible delights transforming even the smallest outdoor space into a vibrant growing world of health and wellbeing.

With a focus on harnessing the therapeutic benefits of gardening, Bloom & Nourish invites participants to join its weekly sessions every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. Whether you’re a seasoned green thumb or a novice with a passion for plant life, this group offers something for everyone. While primarily designed for adults, budding young gardeners aged 11-16 are also welcome, provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult.

The benefits of joining Bloom & Nourish extend far beyond the mere act of gardening. Research has shown that immersing ourselves in nature and getting hands dirty can significantly enhance mental and emotional wellbeing. Planting, weeding, and watering can act as a natural stress reliever. The rhythmic motions and connection to nature help to reduce cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress. Spending time in green spaces has been linked to lower levels of anxiety and improved mood, providing a welcome respite from the pressures of daily life.

Join Bloom & Nourish today and discover the transformative power of plants and community.
