If you, like many, have added an additional kilogram or two to your frame and want to take up running there is no better group to join than the inclusive Begginers2Runners Tenterden. The joggers of the super bright green t-shirts are a friendly community, almost a family-like structure of support all encouraging each other to achieve their goals whatever differing level they may be.
Specialising in taking unfit/non-runners, and within 10 weeks turn them into a 5k runner and beyond in a safe, friendly, encouraging, environment. The Facebook page alone provides insight into what a friendly and fit bunch they are, as well giving individuals a hub of inspiration and encouragement to get active and lead a healthier lifestyle. Carla, who started the group over two years ago, now tells CommunityAd and our readers “When you come along to a club night you are welcomed and greeted with a smile and there is a great atmosphere of support, socialisation and friendliness. I think because of these attributes, we attract a wide range of individuals, from people who have never run before, to those who run often and far”.
It’s the unique blend of fun, friendship and fitness that make the Green Running Family such a force. Since its inception it really has gone from strength to strength and with the recent indulgent festivities there’s no better time to join the green gang for a jog and turn yourself into a seasoned runner.
