Meet new people and make the most of everything Ascot has to offer.
Founded in Norwich nearly 100 years ago, Round Table is the largest young men’s club in the world with nearly 300 clubs and 3,000 members in Great Britain and Ireland alone.
Men between the ages of 18 and 45 are warmly welcomed to get together and socialise outside the world of work and education, where arguably most of our relationships are formed. Ascot Round Table meets twice a month, most recently for an archery evening with Bowmen of Warfield – we’re not sure if there were many bullseyes, but there were definitely a lot of laughs!
Beyond the social aspect, many Round Tables aim to give back to their community. Were you at the Family Fireworks Night last year? Did you and the kids wave to Santa in his sleigh? Maybe you’ve had excited youngsters telling you all about Winkfield school’s allotment classroom! All of these were run or supported by Ascot Round Table. Monies raised through the events are given to charity or used in community projects, meaning you can make memories and give back to your neighbours at the same time.
As the group says themselves, “fundraising is in our DNA, it’s the perfect way to end the boredom and #DoMore.”

Any lovely ladies reading this who would love to get involved, check out the Ladies Circle or Tangent clubs! Currently, there doesn’t seem to be any in Ascot – the nearest is London – so maybe this is your sign to get the ball rolling… Likewise, the 41 Club is for ex-Round Tablers (or new members!) approaching that upper age boundary. First formed in 1945 to tackle the original rules asking Tablers to ‘retire’ at age 40, the 41 Club doesn’t seem to have set up in the area… yet.
