Energy Deal – Find Out If You Could Save Money On Your Energy Bills

collections

Why not find out if you could get a better deal on your energy bills – the latest round of Dover District Council’s collective switching scheme, Energy Deal, opens today (Tuesday, 2 April).

Energy Deal is a free to join scheme, which gives residents the chance to see if they could make savings on their energy bills. A one day reverse auction will be held on 21 May 2019, when suppliers compete with their best offers.  Personalised energy offers based on the winning supplier’s successful bids are sent to those who have registered. People can then decide if they want to take up the offer. There is no obligation to switch.  Sign up and see if you can save.

Energy auctions are held three times a year, (February, May and October), to help residents register for the one that coincides most closely with the date of the end of their current tariff.

The recent winter auction secured tariffs not available direct from the supplier or through price comparison services.  Dual fuel paper billing was £270 below the tariff cap for standard variable tariffs, and the online tariff was £282 lower, (based on Ofgem average consumption figures).

To register or find out more, please see the Energy Deal pages. Dover District residents without internet access can contact 01304 872428 to register.
