‘Eggcellent’ time ahead for some school children

Eggcellent deliveries by Folkestone Rotary

The Rotary Club of Folkestone recently had the opportunity to deliver a large supply of Eggcellent Easter Eggs to various schools in Folkestone.

Following a donation station kindly provided by Morrison’s within their store we gathered a large supply of chocolate eggs from the general public as well as HSBC, Steetz to Streetz and Morrison’s. One kind member of the public purchased £20 worth which was most generous.

President Terry Cooke-Davies of the Rotary Club comments  “Our heartiest thanks to all those that kindly donated funds or Eggs recently. These will be distributed to some local schools and assist some of those families who need a helping hand during these difficult times. Everyone involved has been so generous and once again we are most grateful for the support from the local community and businesses.”

This programme was enabled by Rotarian Peter Bonner and his team and my thanks to Peter for setting this up with such good outcomes which will put a smile on of the children’s faces.

The Rotary Club of Folkestone continues to give vital support to the local community by providing marshals and technology solutions to the local vaccination centres as well as the NHS responders programme. Joining with local Rotary clubs on this programme has achieved an excellent response from the public with generally up to 40 volunteers a day with an overall army of 300 on the register.

We continue to provide local support within the Folkestone and surrounding areas and therefore any donations are always welcome via our website www.folkestonerotary.org.uk and you can find further details on joining or email our membership secretary Ray Johnson   [email protected]
