The Edmund Carr Great Baddow Races

Event to be held on Sunday 17th May 2020 at the Great Baddow Recreation Ground, Baddow Road, Chelmsford, CM2 9RL.

(The Races began in 1982)

10 Mile Road Race starts at 11.00 am
Minimum Age: 17 years on Races Day (parental/guardian permission required if under 18). Maximum Runners: 1000

Fun Run (approximately 2 miles)

Start 11.10 am or as soon as 10 milers have cleared the field
Age: Entrants under the age of 9 on Races Day must be accompanied by an adult (parental/guardian permission required if under 18)
Maximum Runners: 1000

Early Bird Rates are available for the first 200 entrants in each Race or entries received by 16th February whichever comes first.

Grounds open: 9.00am. As well as the two races, there are many stands, food, candy floss, ice cream, sideshows and rides for small children.

Every finisher receives a medal

There are trophies for the older age groups 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus.

All entrants can raise money for their own choice of charity.

Barrow Farm Riding for the Disabled. For 40 years Barrow Farm have been enabling people with special needs and disabilities to develop their abilities and enrich their lives through riding.

Dementia Adventure. This registered charity is dedicated to supporting people with dementia to get outdoors, connect with nature, themselves and their community, and retain a sense of adventure in their lives.

 

Chelmsford Mildmay Charity Trust Fund (UK reg. 1027110). All funds are administered by our Charity Trust Fund which distributes to worthy local and International charities.
