A bit about Dover

The town of Dover is a major ferry port, for both passengers and freight. It is situated in the south east of England and faces France across the strait of Dover which is the narrowest part of the English Channel. The coast of Dover and France are little more than 20 miles apart. There are many places to see and visit in Dover. Dover Castle, which has stood for more than 20 centuries guarding our shore line from invasion is open to the public and holds regular events, Dover museum which has many exhibitions from the stone-age to the Saxons. There are also many events that are held throughout the year such as Dover Carnival and the white cliffs walking festival
