Doggy Delights at Kent Life

Dogs – and their owners – who love a challenge can’t miss this summer’s Family Dog Show at Kent Life Heritage Farm Park, near Maidstone, on Sunday 2 July.
Visitors and their four-legged friends have the chance to prove they’re top dogs and collar some great prizes in six competition categories. There will be all kinds of canine fun to enjoy, including dog agility tests, doggy face-painting for children, and stalls selling dog-related items.

Dog show entries cost £1 per class, or £4 if you would like to enter all six categories*: Waggiest Tail; Best 6 Legs; Fancy Dress; Best Child Handler; Dog the Judge would Like to Take Home; and Kent Life Champion. All show entry fees will be donated to charity.

The attraction is also a real working farm, so there are lots of other animals to see, including pigs, sheep, ducks, goats, alpacas, horses and ponies. You can even get up close and personal with Kent Life’s smaller animals in Cuddle Corner. And with large indoor play areas to explore, Kent Life offers a great day out, whatever the weather.

Kent Life is the county’s premier rural heritage experience, set in 28 acres of glorious countryside. Explore the beautiful gardens, orchard and one of the last hand-picked hop gardens in the country; ramble along the wildlife discovery trail; and see the last working coal-fired oast house in Britain.

Admission prices: adults £9.95, children (three to 15 years) £7.95, concessions £8.95, family ticket (two adults and two children) £29.95. Under-threes and members go free. Book online in advance and save 15%.

*Dog show entry fees are in addition to Kent Life admission prices.

Opening times: 10am to 5pm (last admission at 4pm).

Kent Life is in Lock Lane, Sandling, near Maidstone, just off junction 6 of the M20 or only an hour by train from London. For further information call 01622 763936, email [email protected] or visit www.kentlife.org.uk
