The new Lewes District Citizens Advice has officially opened in Newhaven.

High Sheriff of East Sussex, Major General John Moore-Bick CBE DL, cut the ribbon at an opening ceremony of the new Citizens Advice, which was also attended by Lewes District Council Leader Councillor Andy Smith.

The new office in Chapel Street has been extensively renovated thanks to funding from Lewes District Council as part of its commitment to the regeneration of the town.

The new office will be open three days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, for drop ins and on other days by appointment. There will also be a specialist debt and benefit service and form filling service for clients.
