Come and discover a whole world of fabulous Food and Drink at the 1st Annual Billericay Food and Drink Festival

The 1st incredibly exciting annual Billericay Food & Drink Festival in association with Billericay Town FC will be held on 25th July 2021 and will be a chance to showcase some real local talent for the whole community to enjoy!

The day we can finally get back to all the things we love doing best is just over the horizon but it seems Brits were happy to have their favourite food and drink delivered to them, as since March 2020, £250m has been spent on ordering takeout deliveries.

Jodi Presswell and Abby Knight are sisters that have lived/worked in Billericay for just over 20 years and have years of experience in the events business.

Abby was inspired by all of the creative take-outs and new food/drink businesses that have started during the pandemic and she realised that there was a wonderful opportunity for a Billericay Food and Drink Festival.

The original plan was to hold the event in the local village hall but as interest grew Abby approached the local football club Billericay Town FC as she knows they do a lot of work with the community and were interested in supporting.

They will be supporting Billericay Food Bank and the British Heart Foundation with donations coming from the raffle as well as a complimentary stand at the event.

You’ll discover a world of fabulous locally sourced and produced food and drink plus meet the people behind some of our favourite eateries and local brands. There will be over 50 stands including Field Of Cheese, Lava Spirits, The Big Bear Cider Mill, Flour & Spoon bakery, WrapStars, East Coast Chili Company, Hugo’s Pie & Mash and Ami Mehta’s private dining club, as well as outside entertaining ideas from Patrick Green, The Dining Dome and decorative events by Zoe Hockton.

There will be the chance to sample and watch some fun summer-themed demos, a DJ, a hog roast, a picnic area with crazy golf, and lots of inspiration and free treats to take away from your day.

Guest appearances include Essex’s top food influencer and plant-based cook Hedi Heart and author of besting selling book natural anti-ageing recipe guide, Sensual Sorcery, Stella Ralfini. The festival’s sponsors are national pizza chain Crust, Clacton-based East Coast Distillery with their fine gin selection, local music and sponsorship agency VibeTap and We Get Sponsors.

Co-organiser Jodi Presswell says: “We’ve been amazed at the brilliant talent that’s sprung up over the last year. Hospitality is really working hard to keep going and growing with creative twists of their food and drinks offering which we are really looking forward to promoting at the event.”

The Billericay Food & Drink Festival will take place between 11 am to 6 pm at the Billericay Football Club, Blunts Wall Road, Billericay CM12 9SA.
