Unique Valentine’s Day Experiences!

This year we are extremely excited that the restrictions are (almost) lifted entirely and we are allowed to be within 2 metres of our significant others… so let’s relight the flames of love!

We’ve got experience ideas for the hopeless romantics, the ladies participating in #galentines and more casual activities too!

 

One for the Bookworms:
Blind Date with a Book- Oxfam Bookshop Tunbridge Wells

We are all guilty of getting wooed by the beautiful cover of a book and judging whether it will be a good read… so let’s put the saying ‘love is blind’ to the test! Introducing Oxfam’s blind date with a book scheme. Parcelled up with nothing more than a genre to entice you, give yourself the opportunity to fall in love with literature on Valentine’s Day! If your local charity shop isn’t doing this scheme, get your friends involved instead and anonymously buy your friends a book to spend an evening with!

 

Baked with Love:
Umbrella Café Bake Box

Spend the evening with your partner baking tasty treats that are made with love from The Whitstable Umbrella Café’s Bake Box! This wonderful local charity has curated a Valentine’s themed recipe box, filled with the ingredients to create love heart whoopie pies at home. This is the perfect activity for people of all ages and baking abilities and you are donating to a great cause too. A Family Affair:
Love Heart Trail and Quiz from Burgess Hill Town Council
5-12^th February 2022

Follow your heart around Burgess Hill from 5-12^th February 2022, with a very engaging Valentine’s Day themed trail where local shops will have a question displayed in the window for participants to answer and complete a quiz with the chance to win a hamper! You can find the worksheets in the participating businesses and hand them in to the Help Point. AND capture the memory with the FREE photo booth in the Help Centre on Saturday 12th February!

 

A City with a View:
Medway Lights Nights
11^th-12^th February 2022

Lights, dancers, action! If you are looking for a non-cheesy event to celebrate Valentine’s Day, why not try this FREE festival of lights in Rochester on 11^th & 12^th February, 6pm onwards from Icon Theatre! You can expect to see optical illusions, a lantern parade, an outdoor film, art installations, fire displays and more! A Night at the Theatre:
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at The Marlowe, Canterbury
15^th February- 19^th February 2022

Although this event is running from Tuesday 15^th February- Saturday 19^th February 2022, this is a fantastic way to have a belated celebration! For one night, you will be transported to Narnia with the London production of C.S. Lewis’ classic novel The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe! Expect to see Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter traveling through snow to meet the beloved creatures of the forest and the evil White Witch. You can make this wonderful trip to the theatre into a great date night fit with drinks, ice-cream and a nostalgic tale!
