Top 10 Summer Events for Families in Kent!

Top 10 Free/ Affordable Summer Events for Families in Kent!

It’s the best time of the year for the kids- 6 weeks of no school and endless possibilities, but as a parent, we understand that finding days out which don’t break the bank can be a hair-pulling bundle of stress. A trip to a theme park and eating out makes it easy to wave goodbye to hundreds in a flash! That’s why we have created a ‘What’s On’ summer events guide for events to keep the little ones entertained for pocket money prices!

To avoid any tears or tantrums we recommend booking the summer events in advance when possible.

  1. Thanet Summer Blast

Thanet District Council has designed programmes to ensure that children between 4-16 years old stay active and have fun during the summer holidays, fuelled by a nutritious meal provided daily! Located in various places across Thanet, including Newington and Dane Valley, your little ones could learn new sports, acting skills and more! The Summer Blast scheme is aimed at children who receive benefits-related school meals, however, if you feel your child would benefit hugely from attending these sessions, you can contact the organisers for more information.
