Life at CommunityAd – Tequila Sunrise and sunsets

Technically, this week has only been a four-day week! It’s Friday (or shall I say Fri-YAY), it’s currently 10:00am, and we only have 30 minutes of work left for the day!

Keeping it short and sweet for this week’s blog as we are all far too excited for the company summer cocktail event which is literally round the corner (precisely T-minus 60minutes) … we can literally taste the tequila sunrise on our tongue!

No-one has worked out what the surprise entertainment later is yet which I’m buzzing about.

Due to it only being a four-day week for us at work, it has been extremely, EXTREMELY, busy.

Print wise, our Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Billericay & Brentwood, Folkestone and Braintree publications have all been sent to the printers so expect these to be delivered through your door very soon. Round of applause (and a round of tequila sunrise) to everyone for their hard work.

Well done to Alice, it’s Alice’s third week with us in editorial and she has successfully worked well with Folkestone Town Council to get our Folkestone publication to print, the first book Alice has helped get to print, she’s definitely part of the family now!

Our editor Matt got a sneak-peak at the new portrait of Sarah Croke in her new mayoral gown for our Frimley & Villages CommunityAd Magazine. New mayor, new ideas, keep your eyes peeled for this feature in the next issue of our publication.

Unfortunately, a few members of our admin have been a bit poorly this week but still worked throughout and have now earned a well-deserved drink. You know what they say, alcohol won’t fix problems but it’s worth a shot or two!

Summer cocktails now, everyone has been looking forward to this for so long, it has been a long time since the whole team have been out for a social together. It will also be the first time at a company event for many new (but not so new) members as the past couple years Covid circumstances have left us all without any socials.

It will be great getting to socialise with members outside the work setting. For example, Lindsey works on our web editing team and she’s pretty quiet and demure in the office. However, a couple of us have witnessed, and heard stories which are shocking and surprisingly funny because it’s so unexpected! The rest of us are looking forward to seeing whether the stories we’ve heard are true!

Time to go now so here’s to our tequila sunrise till the sun sets, hoping you have a good weekend, and speak to you next week when we are partied out and back in the office!
