Football Club News -Takeover of Margate FC Limited Completed

Margate Football Club are delighted to announce that SIR Investments Limited have completed a financial takeover of the Club. 

SIR have already made some substantial investments in the local community which has assisted in the regeneration of Margate.

Work has been taking place behind the scenes by newly appointed Club Director Terence Painter who has worked hand in hand with the Investors to finalise the takeover and ensure that the Clubs best interests were protected. All of these and other developments are ultimately directed towards achieving success of the first team on the pitch.

Margate FC Chairman Alistair Bayliss states: “I’m absolutely thrilled the agreement has now been concluded, we’ve been working very hard to make this happen and ensure the survival of the Club”.

“The financial situation of the Club is now stable. We felt it was necessary for the Directors of SIR to meet with both Steven Watt and Steve Brown to understand their vision for the First team and to give the squad the reassurance of stability going forward”.
