Get down to the Herne Bay Airshow this Saturday!!

This Saturday make sure you attend Kent’s BIGGEST one-day event as the BayPromoTeam presents the Southeast Air Show, Herne Bay 2017 and it’s FREE!

A host of top national and international display teams will be perfoming offshore along the glorious Herne Bay coastline.

On the ground we’ll have static aircraft displays including Spitfire, Hurricane, and ME109. Visit the ‘Trench’ experience; a 40ft converted container where visitors can sample the sights and sounds of a trench in The Great War, complete with actors. There’ll be more lizards, reptiles, and birds of prey in the sunken gardens between the pier and bandstand too, and a host of drinks and food stands to keep you fed and watered.

In the evening from 6.30pm join us on the Clock Tower Plaza as a fantastic American Four Tops Tribute take to the stage, followed by the brilliant Rubber Biscuit, celebrating their 25th anniversary in the music industry. At around 9pm (exact time to be confirmed) the Aerosparx display team will perform their dual display, where rockets, flares, and fireworks are release from their aircraft from hundreds of feet – a spectacle not to be missed!

Do remember to arrive early, and please use public transport to attend this event – trains and buses will be strengthened significantly once again, and you won’t want to miss all of the action in a traffic queue! (Manston had 13 mile tail backs 4 years ago!)

Please listen to safey advice throughout, and DO NOT venture out into the water whlst the display is on (broadly from noon to 6.30pm) failure to heed this advice is not only dangerous, it may result in air displays being cancelled. If you see anyone in the water, please remind them and assist out stewards in what is a very difficult job.

Finally, please take home any rubbish you bring to the seafront, and help keep our beautiful seafront clean and tidy for all to enjoy! 🙂
